  • Use cognitive reframing to change the way you look at something and as a result, your experience of it.  Meet with a trusted colleague or mentor to talk through a stressful event or a difficult challenge you are facing. Discuss and try out these techniques which can be simple and easy, especially with practice.
  • Meet with a trusted colleague and discuss the Center for Creative Leadership's article, "How to Increase Your Resilience as a Leader," to develop an action plan for improving your resilience. Ask your colleague to serve as a coach to you as you implement your action plan. 
  • Explore why you may have a hard time asking others for help. Read the article, "More of us need help. Why is it so hard to ask for, and how can we make it easier?" and discuss it with a mentor or trusted colleague.
